For our Global Master Data Management Team, we are currently looking for a:
Specialist Master Data Management EMEA - Remote
This is a remote position and can be based in Heist-op-den-Berg (Belgium), Oss (The Netherlands), Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Vienna (Austria) or Cramlington (UK).
The role requires an amount of travel between 10% and 15% per year, included the travel to attend meetings in Lucerne (Switzerland) twice a year.

The Global Master Data Management Team is responsible for Data Quality & Governance for the EMEA, Americas and APJ region performs various checks, analyses and interacts with stakeholders across all Supply Chain functions & other work streams such as Finance, Procurement, etcetera. The EMEA team consists of one Associate Director and eight (Senior) Specialists. Continuous improvement and end-to-end thinking to support the business is an inherent part of the activities of this team.
Purpose of the role
As a Specialist Master Data Management you will be part of the Global Master Data Management Team for EMEA and you will support all requirements to ensure accurate, timely and compliant Master Data creation, maintenance and related activities in Athena S/4, MDG and as well to our legacy ERP (SAP COMET and SAP APO)
Main responsibilities
- Master Data maintenance and code creation, Right First Time Code creation/ change/ extension including all pre-checks;
- Evaluation of correct parameters and data sets to raise a compliant and error free APPIAN request and set-up of related data such as BOM, Source lists, T-lanes etcetera;
- Provide SCM Data support for projects: for e.g.: source changes/ network changes/ product launches, business deals and ERP implementations;
- Generate, review and maintain supply and demand information data to support Supply Chain Management, Customers and Supply Operations activities;
- Accurate creation of new codes to support business and various projects;
- Monitor the status of eLog and APPIAN requests & ensure timely approval & execution;
- Coding processes, distribution and maintenance of master data information
- to internal and external customers;
- Use reports and KPI to review, update and improve SCM data quality in all required business systems;
- Analyze & amend supply chain information to ensure data accuracy and perform regular data cleansing;
- Centralized gatekeeper and owner of all SCM SAP Master Data, quality related business requests.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field such as Manufacturing, Logistics and Supply Chain;
- At least two years of experience in a Supply Chain (related) position, preferably in the pharmaceutical environment;
- SAP (S4 and ECC/APO) and MS Office experience (with strong Excel skills) are required and an APICS CPIM or a CSCMP certification is preferred;
- Broad understanding and knowledge of applicable business processes;
- Capable of working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders;
- Ability to think end-to-end when analyzing problems and resolving project conflicts;
- Willingness to be flexible and to work in a rapidly changing environment;
- Teamwork and collaborative focus;
- Attention to details and accuracy focus;
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to communicate, collaborate and influence;
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
