Introduction
An opportunity exists within our fast-paced and multifaceted Organisation, for a versatile and confident Branch Manager with lots of tenacity and ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
● 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role.
● Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, under direction from the General Manager
● Ability to assess the market for current and new opportunities
● Develop Forecasts, Financial objectives and Business plan for the branch
● Manage all Branch personnel
● Provide direction and guidance to staff in their assigned job duties
● Address all customer and employee satisfaction issues
● Expand company market share, presence and reputation
● Oversee and manage all operational, distribution and sales activities
● Overall management of the sales team efficiency and effectiveness
● Staff team building, training, mentoring, performance management and development
● Improve the Branch Productivity and Effectiveness
● Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
● Reporting monthly KPI measurement of the business’s performance
● Building and nurturing trust with teams, customers and suppliers
Desired Experience & Qualification
● Minimum Grade 12
● Relevant Tertiary Qualification
● Knowledge of Low voltage switchgear and motor control is non-negotiable.
● Extensive and Active customer portfolio.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Strong negotiation and selling skills
● Strong time management skills and prioritization skills to ensure that projects are completed by deadlines.
● Ability to enforce and maintain high standards under pressure
● Financial literacy and financial management skills
● Microsoft Office suite (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) competence
● Ability to spot problems and opportunities early and responding aggressively to them
● Ability to gather market intelligence, communicate up and adapt plans to optimise.
● Effective delegation of authority while retaining operational responsibility
● Track record of ‘job stability’ (job hoppers need not apply)
