Why is this role really critical to us?
This role is responsible for L3 operation and maintenance of all VFTR Network Security Devices to ensure 7 * 24 high availability of systems and all services and all services and keeping security policy and rules up to date. We are looking for you if you have
How will you spend your time at Vodafone?
- Operate and maintain network level security system infrastructure & equipments:
- Make troubleshooting in case of faults or service outages
- Solve problems that might occur on these systems working in cooperation with vendors, outsource companies and other teams in Vodafone.
- Find root cause of faults and take corrective actions
- Take necessary actions to prevent possible problems in Security systems core equipment.
- Give support to other teams
- Follow capacity of Security services equipments and take necessary actions to increase/decrease capacity when required.
- Maintain security of equipments (Firewall, SSL VPN, HSM, etc) working in cooperation with security related teams in Vodafone.
- Ensure that all major and critical changes will be done in maintenance window
- Train junior level IP CPN&Security Operation specialist
- Train other teams about general overview of security systems
- Provide7/24, 3rd level customer needs which are not solved by 1st and 2nd level support teams.
- Use management tools and self-developed scripts to follow and report problems/capacity on the infrastructure develop proactive and reactive problem solution methods.
- Watching further redundancy scenario’s in line with the effort to add value for the network.
- Prepare documentation, presentation and training about Security services to team members, other Vodafone teams, customers, partners and other 3rd parties when required
- Ensure that VF HSE&W procedures are implemented and works carried out in compliance with local HSE regulations
- Ensure that VFTR BCM policy /standard ,procedures ,plans implemented and works carried out in compliance with BS 25999 -2:2007 Standard
- Ensure that BCM risks are assessed and mitigated so far as is reasonably practicable in VFTR Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)
- Ensure VTR BCMS by planning, establishing, embedding, implementing, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving within VFTR
You are just the person we’ve been looking for, if you have:
- University degree (BSc./MSc.) in Engineering discipline (Electrical-Electronics, Computer Science or similar)
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- At least 5 years of work experience in information security, network administration or IT security
- Strong knowledge on IT security controls
- Knowledge on Firewall, SSL VPN, HSM etc. systems and hardening baselines.
- Significant experience of Security operation activities on multi-vendor environment such as Juniper, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco,
- Understanding of Network protocols and packet analysis, having CCNA/CCNP certificates is an advantage
- Telecommunications industry experience is an advantage
- Critical thinking with strong attention to details and follow up
- Having low level security understanding but ability to present it in a high level
- Strong analytical deduction
- Being creative, problem solving and result oriented
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, good in reporting
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with 3rd party suppliers and internal stakeholders
